I'm excited to share my latest release, a jazz-infused trip-hop track inspired by the smoky atmospheres and downtempo grooves of the 90s.
The track was created using the Yamaha RS7000, a legendary groovebox whose hands-on sequencing and distinctive hardware workflow continue to inspire producers decades after its release. Rather than chasing perfection in the box, I wanted to embrace the character, unpredictability and groove that dedicated hardware can bring to a production.
Drawing influence from the golden era of trip-hop, the track blends warm rhythms, cinematic textures and subtle jazz flavours into a laid-back, immersive listening experience. It's both a nod to the past and a reflection of how timeless creative tools can still spark fresh ideas today.
